trip hop boredom

i am into trip hop ever since the genre emerged years ago
now with all these bands rising like mushrooms, recycling and copying portishead and the like, i feel like boredom has hit the scene.

isn't it time for something new creative and exciting?
what's happening or do i need a shrink?
