THE YEAR OF TRIP HOP BUT SO FAR IT IS DISSAPPOINTING

I just dl goldfrapp black cherry album last night and oh man, it was very dissapointing. They try to sound like eurythmic in the year 2003, in a bad way. This album have no melody or anything interesting that would make it stand out. All i hear is bleep/bip with static synth and dark industrial bass. Progessing in a wrong direction after felt moutain.

3 trip hop let down so far and counting?

Massive Attack: 100th Window
Goldfrapp: Black Cherry
Tricky: Vulnerable

Let's hope Portishead, Unkle, Alpha and _________"fill in the blank" will make it better.
