TripHop Freaks

I think I'm an absolute Freak.
Tramping from one store to the other, scaning for new releases or stuff I oversighted til now.
In my opinion: no vocals = no TripHop
Only stuff that is related to Portishead counts... but I think I reached something like a dead point... I barely can find new groups.
I got about 90 TripHop-CDs and a new good album is worth gold!

a long time, I told everybody who was interested in TripHop every single band I found. But the result was, that I was the only one, who "grazed" the record store to get more stuff - and it is really a time-consuming pastime. So I began with this childish rule: Give me 1 hint - get 1 hint.

I found, that most of the TripHop-Listener to not adore this music in the dimension I do and do not need to get more CDs... and if they can't find new Portishead-like-stuff, they buy some Downbeats or Nu Jazz or BigBeatz. But I really hope, that there are some people who have a valuable knowledge about REAL TripHop-Bands and want to share it with someone, who really got a lot of tips - of course a lot of bands, you cannot find on this page...
