Saratonin is a vocalist from Western Canada. Her music has been described as "Moody angelic vocals over dark hip hop beats." Though she has been singing since she was a wee girl, she broke out into the live scene as Saratonin in 1999 by accompanying Drum&Bass Djs, as well as live performance arts in the underground rave community. By 2002 Saratonin was beginning to network with talented hip hop Producers who provided an outlet for her to take her music a step further. Now in 2005 she has finally released her debut album ?Sirens?. This album features production by Kutdown (Foultone Records- www.foultone.com ), The Gumshoe Strut (Foultone Records), Merky waters and Gnome. MC?s featured include Yy (Peanuts and Corn Records www.peanutsandcorn.com), Cam the Wizzard (Side Road Records- www.sideroadrecords.com), and The Gumshoe Strut. Though Saratonin is mainly involved in local Hip Hop scenes, her music is not exclusive to hip hop listeners. Many may consider it Trip hop, others dark emo folk.
