A couple of weeks ago I was watching a music channel, and it was showing best dance tracks '86 to '06. Goldfrapp were chosen for '05. Part way through the song an icon came up saying a bit about the band. I can't remember exactly what it said but it started as 'Goldfrapp have come a long way since their early trip hop roots'.

That was the first time I'd ever heard of the genre trip hop. I've been listening to bands classed as trip hop for years and years and didn't even realise it had a genre.

So I'm new to this kind of music, and frankly my playlist at the moment is rather limited. Old or new, I don't mind, but could somebody point me in the direction of some bands/music that sounds similar to Goldfrapp's 'Felt Mountain'?.
