Everyone listen up

Tonight I must have gone through at least 12-15 bands that people have posted about in the "new bands" forum within the last month, and aside from Sutrastore (thanks VanGrog), none sound interesting at all... most of them sound more like slowed down pop music or watered down outcroppings of d'n'b/electronica than triphop, so I figured I'd make this thread.

So... to you reading this (yes, you!), do all of us forumites a favor and list one or two bands which are relatively new (or have just put out a debut this year) who are actually good. I'm looking to find some new stuff that's really great, things that don't necessarily sound like the great triphop of the past (Bows, Portishead, Mono) but evoke that same sense of "wow", the pure beauty of perfectly crafted music, dark in texture - rough edges with a soft candy center that melts your speakers.

The last triphop album I actually found myself spinning more than once was the newest Microbunny album, but that was ages ago (it seems!).... and I'm becoming exhausted of waiting for the ever brilliant Halou to unveil their upcoming album (which has been recorded and collecting dust for at least half a year now). The last truly amazing triphop album I heard was the Mig debut which, by the way, if you have not yet heard Mig you are missing out - and that is the understatement of the century. A perfect triphop album to say the very least (as is their ep).

Anyways, by no means is this post meant to arouse any discussion about the state of triphop as it will always be an immaculate genre of music which will never die and also because I do not want to pollute the intention and purpose of this thread, I simply want you fine & lovely folks to share with us your secret poison, that one new band who does it all for you.
