baxter - about this special edition
baxter has released a special edition of their last cd 'about this'...
it is a 2 cd set, the first being the same, while the second containing the following:
1. didn't have a choice (early version)
2. i can't see clearly (rockers hifi remix)
3. about this (new song)
4. got to wake up (steve angello remix)
5. breathe in breathe out (early version)
6. television (fila brazilla remix)
7. fall into (new song, but with many of the lyrics from 'can't')
8. got to wake up (live)
9. in my dreams (alpha & omega dubplate - i can't see why samples)
10. didn't have a choice (d&b version)
11. to you (early version)
12. star (new song)
13. i can't see why (alpha & omega remix)
14. i can't see why (yoga remix)
15. television (darchives remix)
here's what i can tell ya:
new songs: 'about this' is very nice, could have been on the album... 'star' is good, but sounds like a b-side... both are a bit more d&b, but not much... finally, 'fall into' uses the same lyrics as 'can't' but it's totally different... lots of guitar and pretty hard...
early versions: thought they'd sound like demos, but no, they're pretty polished... all three have way more of a d&b feel to them then the album versions... much closer to the first album...
remixes: most you can get from singles... some are really good, some just ok... overall your normal remix stuff...
live: got to wake up is very striped down, almost acoustic... very nice...
