Waldeck
Klaus Waldeck, living in Vienna (Austria of course) was initially a piano playing copyright lawyer and House remixer. But he soon tried himself as a music producer, when he recorded together with the vocal Dica Joy Malcom in London in the early nineties. The outcome of these sessions was his first LP "Balance of the Force". In the mid-nineties he came together with the infamous Vienna duo "Kruder & Dorfmeister" who co produced his album and gave it release on their Spray label. The "Hair" hymn "Aquarius" brought them onto every downbeat Trip Hop compilation out at that time and made him well known also in the states. After "Balance of the Force" came a remix album with contributions such as Thievery Corporation and Fauna Flash. Quite a time later he had finished his so far Masterpiece "The Night Garden" and founded his own label "Dope-Noir", which is quite a good description for his music.
