Smoke City
Smoke City is a story about three persons living in London and found together through their love and connection to Brazil. Nina Mirandas Father is from Brazil, her mother is English. Nina herself was born in Brazil, but came to England when she was 8 years old and attended school in France for some time. Marc Brown grew up in London and worked as a DJ (Raggae, Soul, Hip Hop, Jazz) and came to Brazil through an exchange and worked a lot with Brazilian musicians. When Nina met Mark some day in a club, they decided to record a track together:the result was "underwater Love", which should help them later to become poular not only in England after it was used in a spot by Levis. A friend who knew the song, introduced them to Chris Fanck, a musician with a deep affection to world music and Brazilian music. So they recorded some tracks together, which was the begining of the successful band "Smoke City"
